LAVERNE FFA ATTENDS THE GREAT WESTERN SHOOTOUT JR CDE CONTEST

Laverne FFA took 25 students to the Great Western Shootout Jr CDE Contest at the Woodward County Fairgrounds. 

The contest is hosted by Shattuck FFA and intended for students in 8th through 10th grade to expose them to a wide variety of Career Development Events to try and find each students fit. The day consisted of several CDE’s  including Electricity, Ag Mechanics, Floriculture, Vet Sciences, Natural Resources,  Meat Science, Farm Business Management, Dairy Products, Ag Communications,  Entomology, and Food Science. 

Highlights include Shane Goodwin placing 4th in Ag Communications, Dalton Ridenour placing 3rd in Electricity, Lakin McAtee placing 4th in Electricity, Jentri Becher placing 8th in Electricity, Victor Enriquez placing 9th in Electricity, Jaxon Davis placing 9th in Entomology, Cooper Crissup placing 10th in Entomology, Jordan Domiguez placing 10th in Floriculture, and Mark Inderlied placing 9th in Natural Resources. 

Team Highlights include 2nd and 4th place teams in Electricity, 10th place team in Ag Mechanics, 6th place team in Entomology, 5th place team in Floriculture, 8th place team in Meats Judging, 7th place team in Natural Resources, and 7th place team in Vet Science.

We are so proud of our younger members and can’t wait to see what all they accomplish!
