LAVERNE FFA COMPETES AT NUMEROUS NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTESTS

The Laverne FFA chapter was well represented at the Panhandle Exposition at the Texas County Fairgrounds in Guymon, Okla. on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 

Laverne took seven students to compete in the livestock judging contest, including Kresta Badley, Sabrina Smith, Camdyn Kolbe, Royce Henricks, Selah Bentley, Kylen Kamp, and Ben Scott. The junior team consisting of Royce Henricks, Selah Bentley, Kylen Kamp, and Ben Scott was Overall Champion Junior Team. The Senior Team was Third Overall Senior Team, consisting of Kresta Badley, Sabrina Smith, and Camdyn Kolbe. Individual placing highlights included Camdyn Kolbe placing first overall in the Senior Division and Royce Henricks placing first overall in the Junior Division.

On Thursday, August 25th, 2022 Laverne FFA traveled to Woodward, Okla. to compete in the Woodward County Livestock Judging contest, where they were named High Point Overall Team. 

The junior team consisting of Selah Bentley, Royce Henricks, Kylen Kamp, and Ben Scott was second in the junior division. The junior team consisting of Gracin Drake, Tinsley Green, Dallie McAtee, and Cy Bentley received 14th place. Individual placing highlights included Camdyn Kolbe placing sixth in the senior division, Ben Scott placing seventh in the junior division, and Selah Bentley placing fifth overall out of 645 students. Laverne also received High Point Team Overall!
