SPELLING PRACTICE

Spelling practice doesn’t have to be a chore.  Make studying fun and exciting by switching it up and playing some games.  You can practice words by writing with a stick in the dirt, using shaving cream on a table or cookie sheet, spelling with magnetic letters on the refridgerator or cookie sheet, writing them in a tub of flour, putting hair gel in a ZipLoc bag, etc.  Spellingcity.com is also a fun place for students to study spelling words.  You can find the spellingcity link in the educational websites tab on the left hand side of the screen.  The possibilities are endless. Check out some of these additional fun ways to assist your child with learning his/her spelling words at home.
